From their humble beginnings of retailing fine wines, spirits and specialty beers in two outlets in Albert Park and Camberwell, the business developed a niche market for specialty products of which generic branding (cleanskin) is one of them. In 1991, wIth the success of their specialty product, the company then decided to venture into wine production and the multi awarded Olsen Wines was born. Since then ViN 888 has developed 5 more product ranges in their portfolio. Glenn Olsen, their chief winemaker imparts his passion for winemaking, producing quality style of wines. The Olsen Wines label - the company’s ?agship was established in 1993 and has since then received awards at major shows entered. James Haliday has given Olsen Wines four and a half stars and rated the Olsen Yarra Valley Reserve 95 points. Glenn Olsen, the chief winemaker imparts his passion for winemaking, producing quality style of wines. Vin 888 has now developed five brands in their portfolio. The Big Fella range is Glenn’s signature wine style together with his very limited Heroes Blend (Shiraz/Grenache). Triholm Station, their entry level, was created to commemorate the Danish settlement of which the Olsens were a part in South Gippsland, Victoria at the foothills of the Strezlecki Ranges. ViN 888-OLSEN WINES Victoria also specializes in Private Labels and the company and its committed and highly–skilled growers share their philosophy about quality. Vin 888 has ESTABLISHED MELBOURNE’S FIRST INNER SUBURBAN WINERY IN OAKLEIGH with production capacity of 500,000 litres and storage capacity of 600,000 litres.
